Trout Myspace
Formed in the early-90s in Glasgow, Trout are one of the city’s most enigmatic bands, Emerging from the same scene that produced the likes of The Yummy Fur and Mogwai their unique blend of psychedelia and pop twinned with the lyrical wit of frontman William Rogan has ensured their place in the linage of cult bands Glasgow has produced is certain.
Counting fans such as Franz Ferdinand and nearly every other influential Glasgow band among their ranks, the 7” is short but sweet, it’s a ramshackle thrash through an avant-garde world of psychedelic garage tipping its hat to the likes of 13th Floor Elevators and the odd Nuggets box set along the way while still managing to sound unquestionably “a Glasgow band”.
