New Rock Action releases

We’ve been pretty busy sorting out the Mogwai Special Moves CD/DVD, Box Set etc etc over the past few months however I thought I should probably take a moment to let you know what other stuff we’ve got coming up in the near future…
Over the September/October period we have new releases from Afrirampo, Envy, Errors, Remember Remember and also some of you may be interested to hear that we’re making Part Chimp’s ‘Thriller’ available on vinyl for the first time on a small run pressing.
So we’ve got;

and of course the vinyl release of Thriller which is something we had a few emails about at the time of release and should be available on some European dates the band are doing. More news on those when we actually get the details.
Errors - Celebrity Come Down With Me

What started off as a plan for a tour EP has turned into a full-blown remix album. We’re pleased to announce that the Celebrity Come Down With Me LP will be on sale during Errors co-headline tour with The Twilight Sad.
The record features contributions from some fantastic artists and the response we got when enquiring whether people wanted to be involved was unbelievable. Pretty much everyone we asked said “Yes!”
The tracklist for the record goes like this:

Afrirampo

We’re pleased to say we will be releasing the final Afrirampo album in the UK and Europe on 13th of September. It’s a special 2 disc set entitled “WE ARE UCHU NO KO”. We’re hugely excited to be able to put out this record by such a special band on Rock Action.

Record Store Day

There will be a strictly ltd to Record Store Day only release of the Mogwai/Fuck Buttons split. It’s a 10” white coloured vinyl featuring a Fuck Buttons version of Mogwai Fear Satan and Mogwai remix of Colours Move.
There are only 500 of these pressed so they should go quickly.

Burning - Sensoria festival of Music and Film

There will be a screening of Burning at the Sensoria festival of Music and Film in Sheffield on Wednesday 28th April. For more information click here
Mogwai - Burning premiere, Berlin
14 April 10
The German premiere of the Mogwai live film by Vincent Moon and Nataniel La Souanec will be at the Babylon Berlin Theatre on 28th May at 8pm. The film comprises footage shot over three nights at sold-out shows in Brooklyn on April 27th, 28th and 29th 2009 at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg. As part of the screening the film will be introduced by a member of Mogwai. Preceding the film will be a selection of videos from the Rock Action Records roster including Errors, DeSalvo, Part Chimp and more. After the showing there will be a short Q&A session and then band member Barry Burns will be playing records upstairs in the theatre until close.
